Where I stayed
The beauty of the Royal Mile is that all our needs and desires for food, hot chocolate, croissants and souvenirs is all serviced in the one area. Battling tourist from all around the world we push through crowds to get the best possible vantage points for photos. It is hard to take a bad photo here as every shot reveals a new angle of this great city.
Though we did not partake in some great single malt whiskey nor eat haggis (again!!), we did fill up on some great quality offerings such as baked beans, black pudding, pork sausages and tatties
Rummaging through souvenir stores is always fun. Looking for 'stuff' that is underlying rubbish, we both searching the Royal Mile for any novelty with a SCOTLAND stamp on it. Pens, hats, scarves, books, badges and even condoms (?) we're all available to us in exchange for some local cash money. Luckily we didn't lose our head as luggage will be an issue come home time and this adventure has just begun.
FYI: We bought a Scotland Snow Dome.
As the day draws to an end here in Scotland we prepare for our journey to Jersey. It has been an enjoyable experience for us (despite Michelle coming down with a cold). A beautiful and stunning country with a such a deep history that our short visit does not do it justice. Nonetheless, our time was memorable and will provide us with some great memories to cherish forever.
