Continued on to Santa Fe.  We like Santa Fe.  No skyscrapers could be seen and the buildings seemed to fit the landscape well.  We spent the 12th walking around the plaza window shopping.  Lots of neat clothing, blankets, jewelry, and other trinkets.  It was fun to people-watch, too.

For a capitol city, Santa Fe seems small, but it does have a high density of museums and art galleries.  We visited the Georgia O'Keefe Museum and the IAIA.  Both were fantastic and are recommended.

My personal favorite part was eating at the famous Bobcat Bite.  We saw Bobcat Bite on a television show about the best hamburgers in the US.  I cannot remember if Bobcat Bite took first place, but it was definitely in the top 3.  The green chili cheeseburger is super good.  I am hoping Amy will let us detour on our trip back so that I can get another.

We stayed at another KOA - just seem to like the convenience - and they had hummingbird feeders with lots of hummingbirds.  There was an amusing sign advertising for watching "Feeder Smackdown" because the hummingbirds would chase each other away from the feeders.  It was fun to watch.

On Wednesday, Aug 13, we are planning to visit Bandelier National Monument, Los Alomos National Laboratory's Bradbury Science Museum, and finish in Durango, CO.
