Day 42 - Head to Aunt Debbie's - August 1, 2008 - Friday
Packed up. I went to water aerobics at the KOA pool. I couldn't stay the whole time but it felt good to stretch in the pool.
Then we headed to the Subaru dealer for an oil change and vehicle maintenance. We left with 4 new tires because the rear two tires had bald on the outside edge due to an alignment issue and weight of all our stuff.
After the maintenance we drove to Aunt Debbie's but actually stayed at Sarah's house (Michael's cousin). We went out to dinner with Aunt Debbie and Uncle Bob then did laundry, not much.
Day 43 - Visiting Family in UT - August 2, 2008 - Saturday
Today everyone came over to Sarah's for a cookout. Everyone was able to come except Ben, who had to work. So 7 of 8 cousins were there with spouses and kids if available. It was a full house. Michael really enjoyed himself.
That evening we went to see Travis' at Comedy Sportz, an improve comedy show. We had a really good time. Travis is very funny. We went with Aunt Debbie and Uncle Bob, Katie and Hannah. We all sat on the front row. I sat on the end, so I had to take score. We also got a fly swatter with their logo on it and Travis signed it. Back in Glacier and Yellowstone we could've used a fly swatter for mosquitoes. Hopefully it will be useful down the road.
Day 44 - Leaving UT Family, Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area - August 3, 2008 - Sunday
I got up and went to church with Sarah, Nathan, and their 3 boys. They are Mormon and so the service was different from what I am used to. It was the first Sunday of the month, so it was Testimony Sunday. Anyone who wanted would go to the podium and tell the congregation about how the Lord is working in their lives. It was interesting. Good idea. We also had communion. I asked Sarah if it was OK for me to have communion. She said "yes." First the "alter boys" passed out the bread pieces, then water in tiny cups. I wonder why water and not juice? They called the service a meeting.
About 2pm we packed up, said goodbyes, and headed to Flaming Gorge NRA. It was a pretty drive.
