After the Hoh forest, we drove south to Ruby Beach. Sorry to be redundant from prior blogs, but this was another spectacular, untouched pacific beach gem. Beautiful rock formations, this time in cloudy mist more like we might expect in the pacific northwest. The girls climbed all over the rocks and studied the sea anemones and huge star fish. We found caves in the cliffs along the shore, and were intrigued by the hundreds, maybe thousands of small flat rock stacks left by visitors all over the fallen logs and rocks. We each made our own as well, deciding that they might bring us luck.
We've had a great time here on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington and have all seen sites we'll long remember. Tomorrow we're heading south into Oregon on our way to northern California.
