Dinner Key Marina

Entered Miami today...incredible skyline of bridges, tall buildings, cruise ship ports and lots and lots of boating activity.  The water turned a shade of green lighter...color was like you see at Disneyworld where they put the dye in to create a greenish hue, but we could see the bottom of the channel.   Started hearing a lot of Spanish from the many Cuban and Puerto Rican bridge operators who finally understood what the name "Naciente" means.

We toured Coconut Grove this afternoon.  Had lunch at the Tu Tu Tango restaurant which features works of art from local artists.  Wandered around the main street and saw many musicians playing bongos, steel drums, etc.  Starting to understand what we might see in the Keys.

Catharina joined us yesterday so we have four on board again.  She has added an element of culinary talent which Maggie and I sadly lack.  Tonight we had tuna cakes, grilled shrimp, tabouli and a wonderful dessert.  We were in heaven.  We found a fresh market where prices were about three times what they are at home.  Docks at the marina are adequate but I honestly have not seen anything close to what we have at Waterford Harbor in Kemah.  Today we had one boater excitedly say he knew where Kemah was and that he had lived in Pasadena.  We discussed Mickey Gilley a moment and then they were gone.  Tonight Maggie's cousin and wife came over for dinner and we enjoyed meeting Drew and Elaine.

Tomorrow we are headed to Key Largo...Keys here we come. . Bridges
