The English don't really care too much about the Olympics... probably because they suck at most sports... the only sports they are actually any good at is Football, Rugby and Cricket...

Anyway, the Olympics... Athens 2004.

I had plenty of arguments with other crew members during this period... mainly concerning Australia's efforts...
It's a funny thing, when you travel abroad, you suddenly become a lot more nationalistic... I even put on more of an Australian accent at times... strange...
It's like I'm sayin' "Hey! I'm a fackin Astrayan alroight!? Oi'm proud of my country ay!!"

These arguments i'd start were generally about the fact that countries like USA, China, Russia and yes... Great Britain, all have far superior populations:

USA : 300000000
China : 1300000000
Russia : 140000000
Great Britain : 60000000
Australia : 20000000

So when you think about it there should be alot more athletes in their countries... right?

Now compare the amount of athletes participating from these countries:

USA : 613(largest delegation so far)
China: 407
Russia: 476
Great Britain: 259
Australia: 483

We came 4th in the Olympics... Even though our population is a whole lot smaller than the rest of those mentioned...

1. USA with 36G, 39S, 27B = 102 in total
2. China with 32G, 17S, 14B = 63 in total
3. Russia with 27G, 27S, 38B = 92 in total
4. Australia with 17G, 16S, 16B = 49 in total
9. Great Britain with 9G, 9S,12B = 30 in total

So now you've got to agree that Australians are kind of like the new Spartan's...
We are far superior to all other races... he he... at least in the sporting arena...

There were actually only 482 Australian athletes competing, not 483, as I mentioned before...
The last one was a cocky little bastard in Pinewood Studio's winning gold in Righteous Argument... he he...
