Sydney, second time round.....we decided to take it easy and do the things we didn't get around to the first time we visited here. So we relaxed for a day or two. We went to Sydney zoo to see the new, and very impressive, leopard seal they have there. The seal was found off the coast of Australia thousands of miles from its Antarctic home. The Aussie government then took it in and set up a new enclosure in the zoo because if the seal was to return to Antarctica it would take with it bacteria and viruses that are present in the warm seawater which could have a devastating affect on the fragile creatures inhabiting the icy Antarctic waters.

We then caught the ferry and met up with Steve's relatives for dinner in Manly. Did a day trip to the Blue Mountains the following day and also had time to take a spin up to Palm Beach where they film Home and Away, the beach we watched on tv as kids after school, felt very strange, but great! After Palm Beach we met Noel and Pauline again for dinner and headed back to the city. Catching our bus to Canberra tomorrow to meet Sarah. Hmmm wonder what she has in store for us!
