After leaving Airlie beach, still under the rain, we drove to Eungella national Park. The drive reminded us of the hills in Monteverde. We went for a walk in the rainforest with our waterproof jackets (mets ton K-way, Clem!). We came back to the van only to find out that we were being eaten by leeches. I thought i was going to freak out!! They were climbing at our shoes, sticking on our jackets, I found two on my stomach and Sean found one on his leg. The well talked about van

They seem to suck the blood like maniacs because it was bleeding a good bit for such small animals. An Australian family was watching us with a smile getting crazy with the leeches. The dad told us that the plastic attracts them and makes them stick. So many animals in Queensland to look out for: Snake, spiders, crocodiles and now leeches! platypus

We then went to a place to look out for platypus. they are the only mammals that lay eggs. We saw quite a few in the water, rolling over and diving. They looked really cute! We had a nice home cooked salad in the national park. we skipped Mc Kay as it was raining and drove to a little shit hole called Marlborough. At reception, we were given Easter eggs, so nice!

Marilyn is really impatient to meet Marine and Adrien's Lucien soon!!!
