PS: pour ma feignasse de filleule...c'est Babelfish le site de traduction!! Va falloir s'y mettre si t'es en Floride dans moins de 40j!!!
Ireland has won against the Brits..Sean was happy and we came back quite tipsy (stopping at Burger King on the way home as we would do in Dublin)
01/03/09:Hungover day...relaxing on Ao Nang beach. It is quite crowded. Happy bday Jerome!
02/03/09: Full day on a speed boat going island hopping. We went snorkelling in Lohsamah Bay. Even more beautiful fish than in Ko Chang. Loads of exotic ones..I felt like in an aquarium. We then continued towards Maya bay. A wonderful paradise. We relaxed and admired the remarkable scenery from the movie "The Beach" (Leo di Caprio/Virginie Ledoyen). That was unbelievable.
We went on to Pi Leh Lagoon, a beautiful enclosed lagoon, where the sea was just turquoise! The boat jumps up and down with the speed and the two Singapourian girls with us scream like teenagers. They look a bit Japanese, with loads of customised cameras and pink phones and making the peace sign on every picture!! On the way to Tonsay bay to get our lunch, we pass by Monkey Beach. We throw some watermelon to them and they jump and fight for it.
After lunch, we do a bit more snorkelling, the waves are getting higher and we suspect some rain. We also stop by Vicking's cave, where birds' nest are collected for soup (it is a delicacy in China, apparently). We finish the day by staying on Bamboo Island (the heart shaped island): fantastic white sands, clean, clear waters and coral reefs... Walking back to the boat, Sean hits his foot on a rock a tears his toe nail. A bit is hanging off the toe. I think I am going to faint. The crew has some betadine to put on and a plaster for the time being.(ca y est, on utilisť la trousse de secours Maman!)
03/04/09: We originally wanted to do some kayaking but decided not to with Sean's toe. After Nine Inch Nail, here comes Nine Toe Nails. We bought a few souvenirs and wanted to send them over by post but unfortunately, the lady at the counter told us that Buddhas cant be sent by post. Imagine the big eyes of astonishment we gave her. What the f***?? It is ok, though, to bring them in the bag with you..Ok, so now we are stuck with a heavy Buddha head until Kuala Lumpur!! We could not stop laughing about it.
