Today we took the bus to Santiago. It was an absolutely gorgeous drive in the mountains (with eternal snow at the top), you could see loads of horses on the way (paradis pour Clem , Van et Dom). The border crossing was in the mountains, in the middle of nowhere. We finally arrived in Santiago, looks pretty nice, but we start to feel to much of the traveller fatigue to explore...We will do that tomorrow. presidencial palace
We become really lazy. We opted for the hop on hop off (hop and a puff , Clo?)to visit Santiago. It was nicer than expected. It was also very hot. So hot, that the kids were cooling off in the fountains. The historic center is where there are the most things to visit: main square, cathedral, museums, presidential palace, and the statue of Allende! The nicest was the Santa Lucia park, on a top of a hill, which gave a great view of the city. The city looks foggy from above, because it is in a valley (you can see the mountains all around). Great spot..lots of couple come here for kissy kissy session! Tiring day of walking around. Our feet cannot carry us anymore
