Where I stayed
Stella Paris Apartment
Somehow the many trip to Europe after did have Paris in the itinerary, and so when my sis said she wanted to go to Paris after Prague, I was all game.
I found this really cheap apartment right in the heart of Paris , Stella Paris apartment for a good price. We paid less than 40euro per pax and I was beginning to worry about the accomodation. It was just a 5 minutes(maybe less) walk away from Vaneau metro , in a nice safe neighbourhood. The apartment was a basement rood , nicely made up to fit 6 pax but I think 5 is just nice because the midlevel bed was a bit too cramped. Very bohemian as the owner decorated with old french movie posters. You could pretend that you are a starving artist trying to make ends meet
It was such a hot day in Paris and somehow (I think because the apartment was shaded from the sun and the cool basement air made the aparment extremely cooling) , we started our first meal in Paris at the corner of the street . In sign, body and smattering english, we made through the orders and still not wanting to order fresh salad because of the e coli scare , the waiter stared at us as if we were made when we ordered steamed vegetables.
First stop , Champs elysees... Chai Hong's shangri-la. We did the usual touristy thing and took pictures in front of Arc D Triumph and then strolled along the champs. Louis Vuitton was the end destination for Chai Hong and when we entered , hordes of chinese women and the guys are sitting outside probably lamenting about their poor wallets about to be emptied. My sis , the ever practical was browsing and looked at me - and said " but they are pvc bags" , shaking her head as she checks out the price. Women and their LVs, I almost succumbed until she said so.
