We got into the city slightly over 3 pm and the traffic was really smooth ( surprise as it was Match day - Netherlands Vs Cameroon) , signages were so easy to follow, we didnt get lost.
Thanks to a all the research done prior to the trip, I had purchased the cable car tickets up Table Mountain online so yeah I didnt have to queue to buy the tickets and just went straight to the cable car
The cable car rotates a full 360 degree and I manage to get a window view if possible. Once up there, the viview is as expected spectacular. Plenty of pictures, plenty of fans ( netherlands and americans mainly) and it started getting chilly. We went for drinks at the cafe before heading back to get ready for the match that night. So no sunset at Table Mountain, anyway am still wary about driving in the dark.
There was a bit of traffic because of the turn off and we decided to go back to Avis because after a full days trip to Cape Point and Table Mountain, the petrol indicator did not move a line. The guy at Avis said it was usual for Toyota Corolla cars and we need not worry. So we took the car back to the hotel where the concierge parked it for us . Chung then took off with Chris to watch the game. I wanted them to get a cab but Chung insisted on the fan walk and the concierge assure me that it was quite safe to walk as there were plenty of fans.Getting comfortable with Cape Town
clarissa and I then went down to Jewel for the a satifying chinese meal - fried noodle and hot and sour soup for 60 rand...
