Mike and I went downstairs at 7 for breakfast but were told it wasn't till 8, so we headed out for a walk to the port and surrounds. Went back for breakfast then had a guided walk around the port area and through the medina. Went into a co-op where they made beautiful silver work and timber products. Passed through the Jewish quarter and the fish markets.
We stopped while near the port to buy fresh orange juice (5dhs for a big glass) and to check out the fish stalls where you can pick your fresh seafood at one of nearly a dozen or so stalls and they will cook it on the spot for you.
When the tour was finished, it was nearly lunch and we headed out to wander around the markets ourselves, stopping to eat at a local café (grilled sole for me, vege pizza for Mike).
We bought quite a lot of stuff as well and made a couple of trips back to the hotel to drop things off - timber boxes, jewellery and back for more fresh orange juice. Mike got a haircut at a local barber. We met up with some of the others and showed AJ the barber.
We used the Internet too and walked all afternoon, heading back to the hotel around 6pm. Abdul told us the others had gone to the fort to watch the sunset so we decided to go and see if we could find them. Eventually we found them in a rooftop café (took us a while to find the entrance and climb the stairs to get up to them). Had a drink and watched the sun set, then we all went back to the same café Mike and I had eaten lunch at, to sit inside and have dinner (pasta for me, pizza again for Mike). Went for a walk with Aussie Mike (the others were heading to a club), then back to the hotel to bed.
