We left for the airport around 12:30am on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Sad to leave Damian and Kelsea behind but excited to have the other kids with us. Through check in, then customs, then sat at the gate till takeoff at 2:45am. Once in the air, we were given a birthday drink for Mike and the cake that Andy had organised - a yummy chocolate mud cake. One of the stewards brought him a pack with lots of goodies - little alcohol bottles, samples etc. They even took a few Polaroid photos for us. The plane was empty so we all got to move around and stretch out. Slept for a couple of hours.

Arrived in Singapore and wanered around for an hour then back on board. Again slept for a couple of hours. Arrived in Dubai just before 1pm. Taxi to hotel. Had to wait ages till our room was ready. Mike and Adrian went out and bought us McDonalds. Mmmmm! After settling into our apartment, we all had showers and headed out for a walk. Found Bur Juman mall and wandered around there for a while, then stopped at Spinneys supermarket to stock up on some groceries. Ate bread and hommous but we were all so tired we went straight to bed - probably about 6-7pm!
