We left home at 6am to catch our Virgin Blue flight to Sydney. Had really bad ear aches on descent into Sydney - I'm guessing it was still remnants of the flu. Etihad plane took off at 4:15pm. Such a long flight - very crowded plane and not able to sleep much. Filled in the time by watching movies and eating. Only 1 hour to wait at Abu Dhabi before flight to Cairo. Arrived in Cairo around 3:30am. Through customs and baggage quickly to be met by Joseph, Alphonse and Gerard.
