Our first full day returning to the mainland (Tues., 12/2/08) was a much needed day of rest.
Wed., (12/3/08), after around the clock eating, we both hit the gym and the deck ( 4 laps equals l mile).
I continue to golf (no holes in one). Took in an art auction--no big purchases. We attended a special Captain's lunch for repeat HAL cruise passengers.
Thurs. (12/4/08), our time is getting short on this beautiful sailing hotel. We played trivia. I qualified for the golf semi finals. Patty attended a Chocolate Lovers Meeting in the Culinary Arts Center. We saw a short Salavdore Dali-Disney film "Destino". As usual, after a beautiful dinner in the dining room, we took in the live performance and movie. Special tonight was the Dessert Extravaganza around the pool deck--truly unbelievable.
Just No Luck At Bingo
I did make it to Breakfast Trivia. We both participated in the golf tournament (more like putt-putt), although the "old guys" take it very seriously.
Almost won the golf championship
You may not believe this, but I was the leader for the first two days, but finished 4th in the finals. It was fun to dress up for formal night at dinner.
The Chefs are very artsy
Viviana Guzman, a flutist, gave a sensational after dinner performance. Patty got me on the dance floor for one twist in the Crow's Nest!!!Wed., (12/3/08), after around the clock eating, we both hit the gym and the deck ( 4 laps equals l mile).

More Goodies
Very elegant with free wine and souvenirs for everyone. Those with over 100 days cruising were recognized (not us yet)! Tonight was the Master's Chef Dinner.
Funny Looking Hats
We all wore chef hats and the stewards, singers, dancers, and chefs sang and danced as they served up a 5 course dinner.Thurs. (12/4/08), our time is getting short on this beautiful sailing hotel. Chocolate Surprise
Do not believe the hype, Florida is MUCH BETTER than Hawaii, it every way.

Florida better than Hawaii?
I dunno Leonard... you know that I love Florida like a country, but Kauai is a pretty special place. It's like a tropical Mayberry.
