On Thursday we stopped at Hilo where we hiked through the Thurston Lava Tube and then took a 4 ½ mile hike down, across, and up the other side and around the rim of the Kileuea Iki Crater. Kilauea Iki Crater

    This is one tough hike. It took over 6 hours. Although we did not see lava eruptions in the volcano we did see the lave that escaped out the bottom of Kileuea and flowed into the ocean. Kilauea Volcano

   We were so tired that after the ship's stage show we fell asleep early. USS Missouri

 Today we took the Pearl Harbor tour which included a driving tour of downtown Honolulu, and very cool walking tour of the battleship Missouri. We then took a cab to the boyhood home of Barrack Obama. Homa of Obama

    After that we stopped at Waikiki Beach. I was going to surf, but it was amateur day and since I was a professional the life guard would not let me participate. Tomorrow it is off to Kauai.

Getting old?
Hi Leonard,
It sounds like you may be falling in with the 'older' crowd. Be careful you don't want to start any bad habits!
