On Tuesday, Phil, Sarah, and I visited the Basque Museum and Cultural Center in Downtown Boise.
Tuesday evening, Christy and I attended a lecture in the Morrison Center at Boise State. Greg Mortenson the author of Three Cups of Tea discussed his work building schools in Pakistan. Over 2000 people attended his lecture - a full house. I was amazed at the great response. The people of Boise are really behind his cause.
On Wednesday, I toured St. Luke's Hospital and then drove to Truckee. St. Luke's is a great hospital. In many ways it is superior to Shands. The Emergency Room is large and the waiting area is clean and so efficient that only two patients were waiting to be helped.. St. Luke's also has large automatic circular doors the allow efficient flow of foot traffic.
Sarah at the Basque Museum
The Basque's have and interesting history in Idaho.
