Leonard goes to jail.  Today we visited the Idaho State Penitentiary Historical Site. Boise Penitentiary

It is a VERY OLD and VERY DEPRESSING prison. Cell Block

The buildings were so cold that they named the solitary confinement section Siberia. Sarah, Phil, and Jack in jail

The prison was built in 1870 and used till 1973.  Phil tried to get me test the gallows, but I moved quickly from the area.    We made two stops to see the original Oregon Trail. Oregon Trail

From an Oregon Trail pathway park you cold see very distinctive ruts and the path that the original settlers traveled. Oregon Trail Ruts

At Bonneville Point you could walk through the foothills next to the Boise Mountains.  You can see from the photos that the trail is over-grown, but it is very distinctive when you are standing in the ruts.   At Lucky Peak Dam and Reservoir, we searched for unique rocks. Lucky Peak

The lake is was down, but will fill up again after the winter show thaws next year.  I have not seen any snow in Boise.  I am very lucky as I hate snow.  I never want to see it or touch it ever again.  I forgot to mention that we all went to see the movie  Beverly Hills Chihuahua last night.  It is highly recommended.  The Chihuahua's are demanding respect and barking "no mas."  This photo is the exterior of the new house.   The Neuhoff's new home
