Kearney, Nebraska

Another cold and rainy day. Dave wanted to take me to the Lewis and Clark exhibit in St. Charles, but I wanted to hit the road.
It turns out that I drove right past a Lewis and Clark museum in Nebraska City so I stopped. It was a very impressive.
It seems that many towns in the Midwest use Lewis and Clark as a tourist attraction.
I wanted to ride the buffalo, but the docent went nuts.
I wanted to try on Sacajawea's bison skin , but they didn't like that either.
This is a great stop if you are ever in the area.
My next stop was Kearney. I stopped at the Cabelas - a huge sporting goods store. This place has more guns than a small army. The customers at this store were real men. I heard on the radio that it might snow tomorrow. I hate snow. Who would live where it snows?

Who doesn't love snow this time of the year? :o)
Enjoy the crisp, cool fresh air...not the hot, humid temp we have been having in Gainesville for the last two days! :o(

What are they thinking? (reply) Nov 14, 2008 08:06 EST by coggil
Hey LG. I can't understand why they wouldn't let you ride the buffalo or wear the skin - what are they thinking?!!! Ves would love to go to Cabelas - he'll be jealous when he hears you've been...
Have a great trip. - Lisa
