Hi there! I am writing this from a shop in a typical smallish (for China) town. I asked if they had the internet and the woman got up from her computer and let me use it. The whole family is now crowding round me watching me write. In such small towns, it seems there isn't much to do, and people shout "Laowei" at us wherever we go, which means "Big nose" (A euphemism for foreigner). I have learnt how to say "I am not a big nose", and then point at my deinty nose, which produces much bewilderment. People in China are (generally speaking) very rude, and Leon and I have had to use a sense of humour to cope with it at times. We have shown you many beautiful things on this blog, but, we have to be honest! We are trying to get to Yichang at the moment, where we hope to take a cruise up the Yangzi river to see the Three Gorges before they are destroyed in 2 years time by a Dam. Check out our MP3s of Beijing..... Video clips of Wudang Shan and Kungfu masters coming soon! not to be missed! (Rosie)
