It was about 8 more hours of driving from Charlottesville to Charleston. We took highways for about half the trip, and 1-lane back roads the other half. We hit the 1000 mile mark and were able to score some "cheaper" gas. We arrived at almost 11PM, too late to sample any decent food. So after a brief drive downtown, we grabbed a quick (non-worth-mentioning) bite to eat and headed to our bug/roach invested motel.
