We went back to Baja Dogs Rescue to walk the dogs for the first time.  And yikes, it was hot. We'll have to go earlier in the morning from now on.

Tanka's indoctrination was a bit rough, but we learned.  First we tied him up and took two dogs for walk down the road.  When we got back, Tanka chewed through rope – so we chained him up for next walk and afterwards realized that he was too stressed.  So we let him walk with us but by then he wasn’t liking the heat.  Next time we’ll let him start out loose.  It's out in the middle of the desert - small dirt roads, lizards and cactus.

I hit the cold shower as soon as we got home and then napped off a headache. And later, we went to the malecon to look for Blackie, but no luck.

NOTE: Baja Dogs has 90 days to raise sufficient funds or the doors will close.  If you'd like to donate, go here http://www.bajadogshelplineoflapaz.org/
