Art & Beer is between Cabo San Lucas and Todos Santos.  We'd heard some strange things about the place online.   Apparently the owner is quite eccentric and has been known to offend many a traveler with his infamous, 'You are so ugly' comments.  From what we can tell, just don't ask to come view the art or use the bathroom without gladly spending your $3 minimum - and this includes your kids.

So with that heads up, we went in and got right to the ordering.  Prices are competitive with most places in the US but more than we usually spend.  However, as we looked around, felt the cool Pacific breeze, took in the music... we figured, this is one great place.  After ordering drinks (I had my first mint margarita), we declined the food menu and still no rocks were thrown.  Then... our waiter brings us a plate of ceviche, very fresh, very good.  OK, this is even looking better The Mint Margarita

We talked with another couple from Seattle, took their photo with their camera (they reciprocated), enjoyed the music and made some videos for Beth.  I even made a video of my trip to the bathroom... yeah, it was pretty much love at first sight... the whole deal.

So we go to the bar to pay and wallah! the guy pours us two free beers 'for the road'... OMG!  We ain't done yet...we take our beers with us as we strolled through the two art rooms and then climbed the spiral stair case and hung out on the roof top, taking in all the large art objects down below.

Apparently the owner and his wife are both artists and musicians.  It'd be fun to catch them performing but I think it's just a spontaneous thing, no announcements.

That was the best $3 beer and $8 margarita value we'll ever find... and we WILL be back.  I wonder if they always serve complimentary ceviche and beers for the road???

Next off to Playa Los Cerritos which can see from the roof top...
