Visiting Monroe, Sharon and Aunt Vee:  When we got to Midland on the 16th we found out Aunt Vee was in the hospital and poor Sharon was in bed with a bad flu.  We got to see Sharon for about three minutes.  She didn't feel good and she didn't want to get us sick.  Quick hello, hug from a distance and she went back to bed.

Monroe too us to see Aunt Vee in CCU in the Hospital.  We didn't stay very long because we didn't want to tire her out.  After our visit, Monroe took us to a Mexican restaurant for dinner.  Problem is for the life of me, neither one of us can remember the name of the restaurant.  But it was good.

Lunch at Wall Street, George Bush's Childhood home:  The next day, we went to see Aunt Vee with Monroe and then to lunch at a restaurant in Midland called Wall Street.  Boy, Sharon and Monroe sure know the restaurants that have good food.  Their shrimp is to die for.  After lunch, we went to George W. Bush's Boyhood home which is now a museum.  Monroe had never seen it so it was something new for all three of us.  After the museum, we went to the Museum of Southwest Art.  They were getting ready for Christmas season so they only had a portion of the gallery open.  After the Museum of the Southwest, we agreed to meet the next day for dinner.

Dinner at the Racquet Club:  On the 18th, we went to see Aunt Vee in the hospital.  She looked much, much better and was being transferred out of CCU and into a room.  She is on the road to recovery.  We were scheduled to leave the next day and didn't want to leave with her in CCU.  So we told her goodbye and that we would come back in the future when her and Sharon are better.  At Sharon and Monroe's house, Sharon answered the door.  She is also doing much better but not well enough to join us for dinner.  We were able to say our goodbye's and to spend about ten minutes with her.   Monroe then took us to the Racquet Club for another fantastic meal.

The next day, we hit the road again.
