Up early this morning, we caught a picture of a beautiful artic sunrise. Today's excursion is one we have been looking forward to for a long time, but with a little trepidation. So many people we have talked with said they had been to North Cape only to find it completely fogged in. We awoke to a beautiful day. Cross our fingers, could we hope for the weather to stay nice till we got there? It did. Our guide told us having a day like this to see the North Cape is about like winning the lottery. We could see for miles. North Cape is at latitude 71° 10' 21" which is the northernmost point in Europe. North Cape is only 1300 miles from the North Pole and there were reindeer everywhere we looked. Following our visit it was back to the ship for our last night on board.
