Hello and goodbye Riga again

It sure is nice to come back to a place where I have been before so when I am schlepping my backpack - i don`t take taxis except once in Warsaw when I arrived in the dark and rain and couldn`t get onto the bus with my pack as fighting against all the people going to work.. then the taxi driver I found really ripped me off *- I can walk right to the h Hostel. And this one, Central Hostel, feels like home. Very clean, great people, lots of space, good breakfast. An easy 10 *15 minute or so walk from the Bus Station. Anyway I arrived here yesterday, Sunday a.m. on the overnight bus from Warsaw, which I arrived at by train from Krakow on Sat. afternoon. I couldn`t get into my room as i arrived at 7 a.m. so had breakfast at the hostel, then took in a movie - Casino Royale at 11 a.m. Theatre 3/4 full at 11 a.m. lots of families with kids. In English with Russian and Latvian subtitles. Then went to Tallink ferry terminal to see if they had my booking, done over the phone from Karlovy Vary to Stockholm and they do so am set to depart this aft at 5.30 p.m. for Stockholm, arriving 9.30 a.m tomorrow and then Im booked on a train at 12:30 for Ostersund, Jamptland, arriving approx 7 p.m . where I will meet relatives and see people I know for the first time in over 2 months. Will be great!
Went for a beer after the Tallink terminal to Reval Hotel`s 26th floor bar which has a spectacular view and met some nice people who shared my table. It is like the Wildcat where people often sit together to enjoy the view, however nice hotel.
I just booked my flight on Easyjet from Riga when I return Nov. 28 via ship leaving Stockholm Nov. 27. I leave Nov. 29 for Berlin and then Rome to which I arrive at 7.25 p.m. I got cheap flights on both and will cost me 25 euros each trip, taxes included! However Nov. 28 and 29 NATO Summit is held here in Riga so all Old Town will be shut down - people who live there will have to show passports to get into Old Town -and when I go to airport on 29th I have to take a special bus from Intl Bus Station to airport and no one is allowed to see anyone off at the airport, and I have to arrive 3 hours before flight, passport in hand and printed booking reference *which you don`t need when you fly these days.... so it will be an experience with high security. They had similar manoeuvres when Bush was here so Rigans are bracing themselves. Funnily enough the Queen was here last month and they didn`t notice any difference.
