I took the bus from Boston to Hyannis, about an 1.5 hour trip; roundtrip was $34.  I stayed in a cheap hotel I found on Priceline and it was Priceless.  Clean but outdated rooms, built around 1950's Some Like it Hot movie! haha  Still pleasantly mild out, although not much to see or do in the off season, but can only imagine the zoo it is in the 'on season'.  Those I spoke that lived there agreed. Summer has a lot of activity up and down the  A lot of restaurants and shops were closed but still enough open for me.  I visited the Kennedy Museum, and walked to the Kennedy monument.  The Kennedy Family's summer home was in HyannisPort, about 2 miles from town.
