So the past few days Jess and I have shopped to our hearts content! Having decided that we had done enough culture we hit the shops and the labour day sales! I also managed to fit in a helicopter ride which gave me some amazing views of the Manhatten island - I had picked a perfect day with no clouds in the sky. I got some amazing photos of the island and of the statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Today we met up with one of my friends from Camp for Lunch which was fun as I told her about my trip and all the people I had met. Jess and I then went downtown to the World trade Centre site and a department store opposite. The WTC is now a huge construction site and stands out as a huge open space surrounded by tall skyscrapers. We then headed to Battery Park and the bottom of the island for a view across to the statue. We then headed out of the sun and into a Starbucks for a break before going to dinner in a american diner where we had sweet potato chips which yummy! Tomorrow we are going to Central Park Zoo and then to Grand Central Station and I will meet up with some more people from Camp.
I can't believe I am going home on Thursday but also excited to meet up with friends again.
