What 45 days of non stop rain will make you do

After about 3 hours of quality sleep I awoke to find that a woman had decided that my bench was big enough for the both of us.  It was not.  I got angry and couldnt get back to sleep so I walked around the airport for a couple of hours before check in at 5.

Got into split at about 10am and it was SO HOT but I could not bring myself to complain about it after the 'summer' we had been experiencing so far. who would have thought it would be a relief to hop off abus put 20kgs on your back and walk around in 40 degree heat! After a trip to the travel agents and about 10 mins of greg leading us up the garden path we arrived at our first appartment.  Bed, kitchen, private bathroom, all good!

Had a look around the old town markets and greg bought some sunnies (#3 and counting!) as well as some fruit and veg for our very own fridge.  Amazing what you think is a luxury after a bit! Frozen grapes were a massive hit and we pretty much got into our room had cold showers and crashed after been 2 nights without sleeping in a bed.

After waking up i left leah to continue her sleep while i walked down to check out the beaches which were packed with people out in the sun.

Went on a walking tour that night and got a bit of history and found out we were staying inside the walls of diocletians palace.  After that we staked out a table at a very popular pizza restaurant at about 9:30 where the waiter was obviously a little overworked and not always happy to see new people sit down.  But he loved us and we thought he was very funny.

A very lazy monday where we stayed cool during the hottest part of the day and then went on a bit of a beach crawl during the arvo before another fantastic dinner.
