Back on the bus heading up to some pretty scenic countryside and and it was a nice enough day that we could clearly see Scotland. Stopped in a pub for lunch where we got some beef and guiness stew, which was great and had a game of darts. First 3 darts, triple 20, 20, triple 20. O yeah, it was going to be my day.
After lunch we headed to the giants causeway, which was built by Finn McCool the giant in an attempt to get Bernandonner a giant from scotland to come over and fight him so he could boast he was the strongest and toughest giant going around. However as Bernndonner started walking across from scotland it soon became obvious to Finn that the scotsman was huge and perhaps this fight was a bad idea. Luckily his quick thinking wife was on hand and she dressed Finn up like a baby and sat him in the corner. When Bernandonner came in and saw the size of what he assumed was Finns baby he decided he better be getting home and on his way back tore up the causeway so Finn couldn't come looking for him.
It was quite strange, with large sort of cylindrical rocks seemingly stacked on top of one another. We rolled into Derry about 430-5 and did a walking tour of Derry with Steven and his 2 german shepherd pups, one of which he thinks would become a guidedog but he didnt have much hope for the other one. More murals, more stories especially about bloody sunday - all very interesting. Went out to a pub to watch liverpool arsenal in a small pub with cheap beer. after the game the pub quiz started up and we both went aw! we should have done the pub quiz. but after hearing the questions in the first round we were both very glad we weren't. 0 from 10 would not have been a good start.
We then went onto Peadar O'Donnells where we met up with everyone else and listened to another really good live irish band. More thumbnails ...
