Tblisi or Not Tblisi?

On Friday I am scheduled to fly to the States. On the bus ride into Yerevan this morning, I though to myself "Gee, it's really foggy. Huh, I can't even see across the that park over there" So, I go about my business and eventually met up with two other volunteers for lunch. They both come in telling me that I should go to my travel agent and find out what is happening with my flight because the airport has been closed for the last two days and I might be flying out of Gymori in the northern part of Armenia or else out of Tblisi Georgia. Well, good thing I came in a day early to Yerevan! And geez, what a dope that i couldn't have thought of any of this myself when I rode in this morning. So, I went to my travel agent. She was no help. All she told me was that if the flight is canceled, i would be flying out of Tblisi instead. So, I went to the actual airlines office. At least they were able to tell me that they would not know if the flight is canceled until 2pm Thursday. So, how do I take news like this? WOOHOO!! I might get to see another country!! Aw, too bad I didn't have more notice about what whether or not I will actually be going there because I might have been able to see a friend of mine who lives up in Georgia. Darn. Oh well, life was feeling a little too routine for me lately. Take care! And I will see some people soon! Laura
