You know the expression: Till the cows come home? Well, when I came here, I heard that the cows are just let out into the street and left to wander in the streets and hills and mountains. And then I was told that the cows would walk themselves home. I thought, yeah right. Well, one day I was sitting on our porch (which happens to be on the second floor) and it was getting dark out and our gate was open but then I heard some banging over by the gate. I looked over and there was a COW coming into the yard. I looked over at my family who were over by the truck looking at the engine. No one was phased. They acted like they didn't hear anything!! The cow just walked across the yard and up into the garden and to the barn! I have seen that several times now. It cracks me up everytime. :) Well, we had a performance for our host families as a thank you today. I actually recited an Armenian poem! Apparently with feeling and apparently I have a good speaking voice. well, okay then! I was just happy to be up on a stage and part of a production again. I so miss the theatre and life backstage. Oh well. I knew the sacrifices I would make. I am going out chareoking tonight. I so spelled that wrong. sorry. And with the singing.... there will probably be dancing. I am no longer shy about dancing ANYWHERE!! Even if it is by myself. No one cares. I am stared at all the time anyway. It does feel like being a celebraty. "yup, that's right! I'm a goddess. nice of you to recognize that and stop your talking and stare in wonder at me as I glide by!" And I am not afraid to make a complete ass of myself when trying to explain something. I am particularly good at snorting like a pig which is what I would do to ask them if I was eating pig meat or moo like a cow to ask if it was beef. :) Kids like it. Okay, time to go get an ICED COFFEE and then maybe eat and then sing and dance and then I get to finish packing tomorrow morning. Thanks for listening! Take care everyone! OH! My Dad loves to bird watch. This place is fantastic for that. I thought it would be fun if my Dad bought two copies of a bird book that covers this region and when i find a bird and find it in the book, I can let him know what page it is on. Yup, I'm a dork. Love ya Mom and Dad!! Laura
