So after the quiet of the mountains, we headed back to Charlotte, getting up at 5am to drive the 130 miles to Rouch Fenway in the hope Caroline would be one of the Lucy ones to meet her driver.  Although I did make it there with 15 minutes to spare - the queue was massive, so resolved to that fact we visited the museum and store.

Then onto Charlotte Motor-speedway, to collect the Tickets and parking.  The thing that always amazes me is how much the US think about their customers, having paid $10 to park, we went off, when we came back one of the attendants came up and offered us our $10 back as we have reserved parking - would that happen in the UK?

Then off to EGR Racing the home of Juan Pablo Montoya's team, we visited the workshop and the shop - and then onto the Hotel.

Finally arriving back at Charlotte Motor-speedway for the Practice and Qualifying.  Both our drivers were early into the qualifying and as such with the track cooling neither has a very high spot, but 600 miles is a long race.  I suspect Carl Edwards will do better than Juan Pablo Montoya - but I live in hope that one of us gets a win with their driver.

Anyway, we are off to the Circuit again today to walk the track and then onto Lake Norman, somewhere we have not visited before.  A few pictures from today.

Lots of Love
Caroline & Les
