Today we traveled from Mammoth Lakes to Yosemite, on the way we spent a few hours at Mono Lake, a lake which until 1994 was one of the sources of water for Los Angeles, much to the anger of the locals.  This was referred as the California Water Wars. 

Stunning Scenery.  I will leave the pictures to tell the story of the day.  The strange towers are Tufa which are Calcium Carbonate naturally formed under water.
