Now, we all really enjoyed Rothenburg for different reasons. Jana particularly liked it because she could find streets on the map and actually navigate! Whoo hoo...we lucked into a great place to stay too. We had parked to go check out the information which turned out being closed....just as Jim and Jana were walking back to the car, we saw a Zimmer Frie (rooms available) sign. What a lucky find!
Then, Judy, Willa Jane and Jana wanted to go to the Christmas Museum , but the museum was already closed for the day. So, we just looked at Christmas store for an hour while Jim and Layton took a walk to try and find the entrance of the city wall. We don't miss many meals on this leg of the trip... Layton had some awesome pork roast that night.
After our "included" breakfast, the girls went to the Christmas Museum and did a bit of shopping
JUDY'S ADDITIONS
After going through the Christmas Museum and a neat little church, we drove to Salzburg, Austria and are going on an Sound of Music Tour tomorrow. It will be on a bus...neat stuff!! We found our hotel easily tonight...Lazton drives and Jana navigaztes. We want to also go to Eagles Nest where Hitler lived before we leaver here. It's going to be 50 degrees tomorrow...we all brought several layers and I brought gloves knowing how cold I get when it's damp.
Again, the country side was so pretty and we saw more fat cows. It's very green and lush...Jana saw a John Deer...it wasn't named that but that's what it was. We decided to eat at a Burger King for lunch...we had enjozed German food and the kids felt like something American which worked out fine for all of us.
We are going to walk somewhere to get a bite for supper...I have had soup once that was really good...all the food has actually been great. We get our breakfast here at the hotel free before the bus picks us up about 9:15 in the morning.
We drove on the Autobahn today...in many places there basically is not a speed limit...there were traffic jams on the other side and we slowed quite a bit once.

schneeballen or snowball treat
. Again, the guys went for the wall and walked quite aways around it. There are 18 complete towers which is pretty phenomenal. JUDY'S ADDITIONS
