Most travelers would say don't bother with Frankfurt ...or there are so many other better places to visit.  However, we say to give it a chance.  OK....maaaaybe it was the last minute decision to go to the Madonna concert.  Maybe it was that we have time to just "be" while we wait for our parents to fly in on Friday, September 12 th at 7 am (can you tell we are a bit excited?)...but we have enjoyed our time here.

We took the subway to the airport to find our parents.  We had a bit of a hard time finding the right train because the first train we got on was delayed for some reasons (we could not understand the German over the speaker).  We just followed the crowds and prayed we got to the airport in time....WE DID!!  We saw Judy's hair over the security screen first...man, what a great reunion.  Yes, we did have some tears, but it was sooooo good to reunite with our precious parents what is this on my burger?
what is this on my burger?
.  We all just took a moment to take in the fact that we were T-O-G-E-T-H-E-R!

Just as we were sitting down to have some coffee, Jana realized that her dad had on a brace on his left foot.  Jana was too busy being emotional to notice!  (Yes, Layton noticed right away.)  So, we heard the four-wheeler accident story that happened on the Wednesday a week before he was to load the plane the following Thursday.  OH!  Judy hid a root canal from us as well...she had it taken care of on Monday before getting on the plane Thursday.  Man, our family was a bit bunged up to come see us!  They all did soooo well though and we appreciate the determination!

We rented an Alfa Romeo wagon for the week.  We were able to just fit our stuff in the back hatch area and were able to squeeze in the seats with not too much room to spare.  We were off!

In the Plane we could see on the screen how manz more miles it was to Frankfort. It was a neat experrience. We got down to minuse 70 degrees F outside temperature once. It was then that I decided to put on my sweat shirt!! We actually were comfortable in the plane but it was beginning to get a little chilly.
