We took a 4 hour bus to Marmaris to catch our ferry to Rhodes. So, a pretty long day of travel. We walked from the pier to the Pink Elephant in Old Town. It was just what Jana expected for a place in Greece, multi level, roof terrace, open windows for the breeze to blow in...ahhh. After resting for a couple hours, we had a nice dinner on the porch of a backpacker hang out.

The next day, we visited the Palace of Grand Master and the Palace of Knights which was built in the 7th century and has been modified a few times since. They had some permanent exhibitions to see. We were impressed with how many B.C. artifacts they had, most between 2nd - 4th century but some all the way back to 14th century B.C.!!! Also, they had a really cool coin collection from the 2nd and 3rd c. B.C. that were in GREAT shape.

Since we were killing time (we were catching a ferry at 1 am), we had a drink and found some free wifi to use up a few hours entire city is a world heritage site

. Then, we went to the Clock Tower where we saw some ok views and got a "free" drink. We both chose to have beer and wine which is a big step in the right direction after how we had felt the last few days!

Rhodes is a cool, cool island. There is LOTS to do historically and entertainment wise. There is shopping galore both of touristy junk and name brand stores. Lots of bling and glam is walking around this island...that is for sure!

We are off to see Alex and Heather (and baby Cabanas) in Santorini! WOOOO HOOOO!
