3:30 - we had lunch in Istanbul which consisted of hamburgers and gyros. yes, we share everything. one of which, we believe to be the culprit.
5:30 - Jana starts to not feel so well.
6:30 - we head for the bus station via public transportation
7:30 - waiting for bus to leave, Jana still does not feel well and thinks it might be heat stroke or something like she had in India
8:30 - bus leaves with a struggling Jana
9:15 - Jana gets sick in bathroom on the bus
wow...someone does not feel good
. 9:17 - ooops! the bathroom was broken and Jana does not make any friends with the bus attendants!
9:18 - bus attendants hand Jana (and Layton) a ton of black plastic bags
9:59 - Jana REALLY gets sick. 1st time Layton has witnessed Jana getting sick...EVER.
11:13 - we load the ferry to cross over to Asia side
11:21 - Jana gets sick on ferry and lays down on benches
12:03 - get back on the bus
12:22 - neither of us is able to sleep. literally watching the minutes blink by on the bus clock
1:14 - Layton grabs a plastic bag to join in the fun!
1:15 - Jana asks the dumb question, "are you going to get sick too?"
1:16 - the answer to Jana's question happened. Layton got sick for his first time!
2:25 - the bus stops for a 30 minute break. Layton gets sick for his 2nd time. Score is Jana 3, Layton 2. This is where we took pics.
2:45 - load back on bus, hurting...both of us
4:27 - Layton evens the score. Tied 3 all.
6:07 - Layton thinks he is going to get sick again but does not...phew!
7:34 - bus dumps us out in Selcuk. we are both relieved to be OFF the bus! we made it, and we're still going to Ephesus tomorrow no matter what it takes!

I remember you talking about this. Ugh. Reminded us of Iceland. I love how you broke it down and kept score though. :-) I was curious how Istanbul was b/c I'd love to go there - but maybe stay away from the gyros.
