We have had a great few days doing well just about as little as we possibly could! Yes, we got our Russian visas taken care of, but other than that, we just did some resting and catching up on us. Neither one of us knew exactly how worn out we really were. We both really enjoy Thailand and this was a wonderful place to just be.
What can we entertain you with?
Well, Layton got another haircut for 100 Baht which is about $3. This was a process too. They used clippers for the back and side parts and then used scissors to cut the top. The haircut was pretty uneventful, but the shave after the haircut was more than entertaining to watch. The man slammed Layton back in the barber chair and used a straight razor to shave his face
We stayed at a great little place called Villa Cha Cha that Dean suggested to us. We needed a place like this and the price was not too steep. We have a pool, free (but VERY slow) internet, air conditioning, 2 movie channels and a great bathroom! It is fairly new and the atmosphere is relaxing. The location helps too. We are staying on Rambuttri Rd which is close to Koa San Road where all the foreigners hang out so there is plenty of western food and amenities around if we break down. However, we found a great mobile food guy who has WONDERFUL green and red curry for 25 baht (less than $1)! We ate there MANY times!
We also did end up going on a "tour" for one day. We went to see the floating markets, tiger temple and a bridge that was built during WWII by the Japanese army (with the help of POWs of course). It was a cool day. The floating market was just filled with people in boats selling stuff which made for great pictures and people watching. However, the Tiger temple was fascinating. It is a new temple where they not only teach meditation and Buddhism, but also conservation. That is why they have the 15 tigers in their care. The group of tigers was started with rescued cubs around the area. The pictures from this entire day were really fun! Enjoy!

our favorite "restaurant" in bangkok
. However, it did not stop there. They shaved his ears and forehead! Finally, they gave him a small massage to finish the wonderful treatment and ALL for $3!We stayed at a great little place called Villa Cha Cha that Dean suggested to us. Love You
Jana and Layton you look sooooooooo great. I am so glad you experienced all of this for us. The animals and floating market were GREAT!! Wow. I am sitting outside on my porch on a 100+ night and enjoying the adventure. Yeah! School is out.
