Along with Adam and Harriet, I drove the Great Ocean road from Adelaide to Melbourne. We stopped off and stayed in a quite hotel in Kingston on the first night and then in Apollo Bay on the second night. Along the way we stopped off at most of the viewing points on the main part of the road which over looked the stunning coast line. We watched the sunset over the 12 Apostels, of which I think there are about only 8 left. It was amazing and probably one of the best views along the way. We also stopped off and looked out over London Arch, which used to be called London Bridge before half of it collapsed into the sea.

Some of the drive was a little creepy, especially when it got dark and we were driving through the otway national park and had no signal on our phones. Harriet terrified us all by talking about what would happen in a horror movie!! We also had to keep a watch for Kangaroos and Wombats because they can damage your car badly.

We visited Otway lighthouse which we went to the top of and looked out over the coast. We also stopped at Split Point lighthouse which used to be used in a kids tv show called 'Around the Twist'. We got pretty excited about seeing it, even though it was pouring with rain by the time we reached it.

Whilst looking out over one of the bays in Lorne, we watched a fur seal swimming around and between a group of surfers. It was massive and at first looked a little like a shark as all you could see was it's dark silhouette. If i'd been in the water I think I would have been terrified! Whilst in Lorne we also visited the Erskine waterfalls, which were set in what can only be described as a rainforest. They were beautiful and the smell from the plants and damp was amazing. It reminded me of a glade plug in, but obviously natural!

Our last stop was Bells Beach in Torquay where the Rip Curl surf competition was taking place. Unfourtuantly the weather meant that it wasn't on when we got there, so we just had a quick look from the car and then carried on to Melbourne.
