Well, I am actually here! After a long time spent at the airport..
I am staying at Cite Universitaire which is a giant complex of buildings that house students according to nationality.
Its a pretty cool community and even though I don't really know anyone yet, I like the energy around here.
I have been going to orientation here where I learn how to not get pickpocketed and other such things. The people that I am working with have been really friendly and I love being in Paris.
Today, I went up to the top of centre pompidou where i saw a beautiful view of the city and I took a walk through the center of most of the city.

and took a walk through it!
We had orientation in the 3rd arrondissement and i walked from there, across the Siene and Pont Neuf, by Notre Dame and Saint Chappelle, through the Luxumbourg gardens, and finally back to my room where I nursed my poor feet.
I would have written sooner, but wireless has been in and out and finally I have it back!
Overall, I'm tired and trying to get over the jetlag, warm from the lack of air conditioning, and thoroughly enjoying the culture.
