This one has to be brief.

I went to Carly's classroom today and fixed her computer. Hooray for a little brother who teaches ME useful things.

I left there and went to Continental Parking AKA: the weirdest remote lot ever! I wanted 20 minutes but other than that, I can't complain.

I got to the airport 4 hours before my flight to get a good seat (MartinAir reccomends this). I was about the 50th person in line even at 3pm. I'll be in 37H - a window seat. I asked for a seat with a view. Who knows what I'll get.

Then I went to Brookstone to check out the pillows. After 20 minutes or so, I went to Lush, my favorite cosmetics store in the world. Sonoma, the girl who I first started working with 4+ years ago, is pregnant! We spent almost an hour catching up. She's the manager now and I just love her. I'm going to pick up a special Lush product for her while I'm in Amsterdam. Apparently, Europe has cooler products that the US. Who knew?

Then I went and got my currency exchanged. I paid $160 to get 100 Euro. Not ideal.

Then I went back to Brookstone to buy the pillow I looked at. It came with a sleeping mask. I'll enjoy it. I headed through security - uneventful. I took the tram and then headed to my gate. I realized I should probably eat before flying but the only food in this wing is Burger King. So I got a tendercrisp sandwhich. It wasn't great but it was food. Now I am getting ready to board. They just made an announcement that the elderly and those with children should board now. In 9 hours, I'll be in Amsterdam. I already feel like I'm there. I'm the only brunette on the flight (I think) and EVERYONE speaks Dutch (or maybe that's German). Anyway, I'll be there soon.

Wish me Luck,

hey dude. i'm glad you're keeping this blog. i'm eagerly awaiting your first entry from europe. i hope you're having a good time.

by the way, $1.60 for 1 euro is insane. i thought the $1.20 exchange rate in 2005 was bad.
