crusing down the Sangker river- on top of a crammed boat that was ready to capsize at any moment- thank God for the IPOD!!! it was good though, beatuiful scenery a wetland mecca for anyone who might be interested in wetlands- and then we got to a town that was so shanty - but what can you do- you win and ya lose sometimes- but,
from what we heard though- all in all the 6 hour boat ride and bus to the thai border was nothign compared to the unpaved road if we had taken the direct route back to Bangkok--- apparently the airlines are paying the gov't to keep the road unpaved so people will fly the route instead of driving it-/i donlt doubt it for a second!
