Where I stayed
Anyways, we get onto the Great Ocean Road and Oh
We stayed over night in Warrnambool, you can see the Whales from one of the beaches, Logan's Beach, when they come in to calve. Unfortunatley not on our day. We visited Granny's Grave tho, the grave of the first white woman to be buried there. Logan's Beach was beautiful, we could have stayed there all day, it was so peacceful and calming just watching the sea.
Therest of the journey to Adelaide was long, with the odd sight here and there, most of the lands reminded me of England or the highlands in Scotland. How could you ever feel homesick?
Adelaide. What can I say? If I had gone there first, I would have been disapointed, not at all what I was expecting. A smaller city compared to Melbourne, and doesn't have the highrise buildings in the centre, yet when you walk along the main shopping mall, there's so many people and it's busy and lively and, well, I didn't like it. To me, it's the kind of city that made me dislike cities in the first place!! However, it was interesting and some of the arcitecture was beautiful. We spent friday evening just bumming about the shops, saturday (my birthday also) was spent at the Zoo. Normally Zoo's bother me, the animals always look sad to me. However, this one was great. The enclosures were well barriered from the public but inside the were open air and large, with the odd exception of course, well, nowhere is perfect. I saw some animals I'd never seen before too!! Oh and the highlight of the day? Feeding Squirrel Monkey's!! That was definately different and a great experience!! Sunday, we went to Glenelg, and foudn the 'Lolly Shop' which sold items and sweets from the UK, USA and other places....mmmm we got our Walkers Crisps!!
Obviously, there was a whole lot more to the weekend but i think this entry is getting long enough already!!!
It's hard for me to believe that two weeks ago today at this time (Mon 1.40pm Uk time) I was still in the UK. I feel like I've been here forever, I've settled in so well, I love it.....perhaps, just perhaps I belong here? After all, what's in Cacky Accy? Apart from family and friends. I'm never gunna settle down with anyone from there, the job opportunities don't exactly come about too often. Just what, in the whole of the UK, is there for me??....
