Unfortunately, our flight from Auckland was delayed by over four hours which left us very little time to explore LA as our flight out was the next day. To add insult to injury our entertainment systems didnt work, so we had no movies for the 11hour flight. So some light moaning got us $50 duty free vouchers each so i got some lip-plumping lip gloss and dave got aftershave so not a total disaster.
So we made the best of our few hours. Luckily our hostel was on Hollywood Boulevard so we were able to step out onto the walk of fame and follow it along to Manns Chinese Theatre and the Kodak theatre. I put my hands uin Marilyn Monroes handprints and Dave put his in Adam Sandlers (classic tourist photos).
We then headed to Sunset Boulevard where all the big bars and clubs are and after an American steak dinner headed to Johnny Depps bar, The Viper Room
A flying visit to LA, but its been a tatser and i will definitely go back.

. Babs and James had befriended a barman the night before so we were able to get cheap drinks. It was very cool, with live rock music, but unfortunately no cameras were allowed. We then had one drink in the Rainbow bar before leaving. Outside an old man started to talking to us who ended up being a lawyer for Paris Hilton in her current prison drama! Whilst talking to him a barmaid came over and chatted and offered us back for a glass of win at her apartment which was very cool. We chatted to her and her housemate about life in LA and headed back in the wee hours of the morning. A flying visit to LA, but its been a tatser and i will definitely go back.
