Where I stayed
we arrived on tuesday afternoon to our new hostel which was also pretty nice...we were staying in a 10 bed dorm room which was co-ed so we could all stay together. the hostel also had an amazing rooftop patio area with hammocks!!!! our favorite part. on our first night there we had an amazing woodfire cooked pizza party provided by the hostel. there were six whole tastes. we´re still not sure what that means. but the hostel man who made the pizza was pretty hilarious and provided lots of entertainment everynight we were up there.
the next day was an important one because it was ainsley´s 23ed birthday. we went to the beach during the day...lauren and i were a little overzealous about the sun...and wound up pretty burnt. but it´s quickly fading to a tan. we chilled on the beach and swam in the ocean. then lauren and i bought food to make ainsley a birthday dinner at the hostel. WHAT A GREAT NIGHT. we made bruchetta and pasta and had an ice cream cake for her. lots and lots of wine. we chilled with some pretty cool people on the rooftop that night....a lady named chris from cape cod and and A.J from nova scotia. both older (40-50) but both really cool and really nice people. the night was full of drinking, hanging out, speed walk racing, guitar playing, tap dancing and hammock swinning. it was an awesome birthday party.
the night day required some recovery time....we just bummed around the hostel basically and went out when we needed food. that night we had a great bbq on the rooftop provided by our friend who worked at the hostel again.
on friday we were supposed to leave but we decided to extend our stay a night so we could see a bit of the city. lauren ainsley and i went for a really nice walk through the old part of the city. saw some great architecture and did a little shopping. we had a nice lunch on a pedestrian street outside. that night we were going to take it easy but ended up on drinking on the rooftop with our friends from the hostel and a new guy named mark, who ainsley and graham had met weeks ago in mendoza. we ended up heading out with some french guys as a big group to a hilarious bar playing great tracks such as "i like to move it" anyone remember dance mix 92? we danced in some fog provided by an incredible fog machine. the boys weren´t as into it as the ladies so we headed on to a new bar with some live music which was pretty fun, lots of dancing. great night, yet again.
next morning we got ourselves organized and headed to the bus station to pick a beach destination......
