1) you don't want to shower because you won't be able to cool down again after.

2) all the elastic bands in your flat have melted.

3) the toothpaste explodes as soon as you take the cap off.

4) the bin needs changing every day.

5) you need to do a load of washing every day and the ironing pile doubles.

6) the condensation from the pint of milk at breakfast leaves a puddle on the table

7) your vitamin capsules are as squishy as gummy bears.

8) the coffee granules stick together.

9) the cockroaches are out in force.

10) either the fan or the air-con HAS TO BE ON!

11) the fruit in the fruit bowl lasts about a day.

12) you avoid being outside at all costs.

13) all the chocolate bars in the corner shop have obviously melted in transit.

14) you keep the curtains closed during the day to stop your apartment feeling like a greenhouse.

15) you contemplate adopting the 'local way' of using an umbrella to stay out of the sun.

16) the greetings cards you have standing around wilt.

17) you have to slowly peel yourself off the furniture when you get up.

18) the mold throws a party on your walls.

get some of those disposable dehumidifiers before you leave for england. you know the kind that start out as crystals and then suck up the moisture and get all liquid-y. when i was living in taiwan, i left my apartment for 6 weeks, came back and mold was EVERYWHERE. i had to throw tons of linens and clothes out. i learned my lesson the hard way.

Loving the brolly look! ;-) It's colder in UK summer than it was in Aussie winter, so there's something to look forward to in a few weeks!!
