We arrived in Adelaide and things did not get off to a very good start. We had booked 2 beds in a hostel and when we got there, there was only 1 bed. They were going to put up a camp bed in the smallest 6 bed dorm I have ever seen...I was not going to pay $25 a night for a campbed. So we paid a little extra to go into a double room for the night. Had to do laundry as our clothes were disgusting. You would not believe how exciting it was to do laundry and have clean clothes.
The next morning we decided we weren't going to stay in the rubbish hostel and made our way to the YHA. Its really nice, big communal area, good kitchen and nice 4 bed dorm with lockers-this is all I am looking forward. We do not understand how hostels can get it so wrong! We just got some food, Adelaide is a nice city with a bit more character than Perth. In the afternoon we went to the museum as its free, but it wasn't very good
at a later time.
On the 13th and 14th we got on the tram to the beach not far from the city called Glenlg. It was a nice beach and we just chilled out lying in the sun. We have really enjoyed Adelaide as it is the first time in Australia where we have just chilled out and done not alot!
