We hoped on a local bus this morning to go down the coast. It took us soooo long to get out of teh city - the traffice in Chennai is a million times worse than london I think! Or maybe the endless horns, heat, and crowds made it more unbearable.....?? along with the cargo of bannans still on there stems and who knows what else in the bus with us!

We are finally at the sea!!! It is the Bay of Bengal I think and we walked along the beach and paddled - no swimming here but we should be swimming soon..... hired some bicycles again and went to look at few temples - ones carved into the sides of rocks, and others that were carved from a single piece of rock - i can't imagine anyone having the patience to do that these days.....??

A bit of a variation to curry tonight, we had fish curry which was pretty good! nice to have something other than veges veges and more veges!!
